The Gujarat Titans is a kabaddi team based in Gujarat, India. The group was founded in 2016 and participated in the fourth season of the Pro Kabaddi League. The Titans had a decent start in the league but failed to qualify for the playoffs. In the fifth season, the team made a good comeback and reached the playoffs but was knocked out in the eliminator round. Unfortunately, the team was dissolved after the fifth season due to financial issues.
The Gujarat Titans had a decent run in the Pro Kabaddi League, reaching the playoffs once in the fifth season. However, the team won no significant titles during their brief tenure in the league.
Rajasthan Royals acquired David Miller before the IPL 2020 after spending many years playing for Kings XI Punjab (now Punjab Kings). Despite only appearing in one IPL 2020 game, the team decided to keep him for the IPL 2021 because of his unique ability to influence the outcome of a game. Miller has had few chances with the Rajasthan Royals, but when he gets one in the brand-new team, he’ll try to make the most of it. He still has the experience, game, and ability to hammer those huge sixes of his reputation and could well be one of the game-changers for the Gujarat Titans.

Shubman Gill, a Punjabi opener, has received a lot of acclaim from all sides for his significant contributions to the world championship victory of the India U19 team in 2018. In his first and 2019 seasons, he made valuable efforts for the Kolkata Knight Riders after being purchased by them in 2018.
The KKR team management decided to keep him on because they thought Shubman had tremendous hitting ability and even identified him as a member of their core leadership group. He earned his ODI and Test debuts for India in 2019 and 2020, respectively, and is expected to have a bright career. However, KKR released him before the 2022 TATA IPL Auction.
The Gujarat Titans seized the chance to sign him, and he may very well start for them this year. Gill possesses the talent and skills of a world-class hitter, so seeing him perform well for the Titans this year wouldn’t be surprising.

Australian wicketkeeper-batsman Matthew Wade offers a wealth of knowledge. His abilities in the game’s shortest format are well-known after some pivotal performances for his club in the local domestic T20 tournament and the national team. He has played for the Gujarat Titans this season after playing for the Delhi Daredevils (now the Delhi Capitals) earlier. He could strengthen this company’s reputation.

Wriddhiman Saha has previously shown his abilities for Kolkata Knight Riders, Chennai Super Kings, Punjab Kings, and Sunrisers Hyderabad. He is an athletic wicketkeeper and a more than capable batsman. Saha has worked hard to make the most of his chances with the bat while showing up for his individual franchises. His glovework is unmatched. Saha has previously been used as an opener by the teams, and during that time, he has scored some easy half hundreds. When Saha enters the game for Gujarat Titans, he will face a fresh task.

Hardik Pandya’s enormous self-belief stands out among other new bowlers as the feature that most distinguish him from them. The flamboyant Baroda all-rounder doesn’t let anxiety influence his performance; instead, he enjoys them. Hardik checks all the criteria a team wants in an all-round player: he is a powerful batter and a quick bowler.
His rapid inclusion into the Indian ODI and T20 team following a solid showing in the 2015 IPL was not unexpected. He struck a six against RCB in his first IPL encounter after only facing two balls. However, his true promise was revealed when he led Mumbai Indians to victory against CSK with an explosive eight-ball 21 when the team required 30 from two overs.
He has since become an essential part of the Mumbai Indians lineup. He will, however, be making his début as Gujarat Titans’ new franchise’s skipper this season. Hardik will lead a team with a decent balance of talent and experience. Although his all-around abilities are well-recognized, how will he run this new franchise? Time will only reveal.

Even though he is more well-known for his abilities with the ball, he made an immediate impression on his Vijay Hazare Trophy debut when he struck an unbeaten 56 from just 30 deliveries to lead Vidarbha to an unlikely win over Maharashtra.
Although Darshan sat out the 2019 and 2020 seasons, PBKS decided to keep him on board for the 2021 IPL sale. However, he will play for Gujarat Titans this season after being transferred to the team for INR 20 Lakh.

At the IPL 2022 Mega Auction, the Gujarat Titans paid INR 1.4 crore to acquire Vijay Shankar, a versatile batsman who dominates the middle overs. Vijay Shankar filled in when Team India’s all-rounder Hardik Pandya was sidelined.
Shankar has only improved during his brief time with the Indian squad after making his ODI and T20I debuts for the national team. Shankar was a constant in the Sunrisers’ starting XI. He was a capable bowler with a solid batting approach and an explosive fielder. This time, he would be ready to deliver more impactful performances for his brand.

Odean Smith, a Jamaican all-rounder, can change the game with his batting and bowling skills. He made his debut for the Windies against Pakistan in a bilateral T20 series but was expensive in both matches, leading to him not featuring for the Windies since then. His ODI strike rate of 197 is the highest of any batter in history with 100 runs or more.
While his bowling is developing, he can bowl at over 140kph, making him a rare talent. Asif and Amir may be gone, but according to Akhtar, Bumrah is the “smartest operator” in intelligence.

At the IPL 2022 Mega Auction, the Gujarat Titans paid 1.7 crores for the high-utility all-rounder Jayant Yadav. Before the 12th season, Jayant, who had been with the Delhi franchise since 2015, was moved to the Mumbai Indians. Jayant is an all-rounder since he can bat and spin the ball. Jayant is a seasoned player on the home circuit and has represented India in four Tests and one ODI despite having only played 19 IPL games. He has pleasant recollections of the Wankhede Stadium since it was here when, while batting at No. 9, he achieved his first Test century against England in 2016.
He also represented India as the Emerging Teams Asia Cup champion. Despite playing in just two games throughout the 2020 campaign, he made them count by helping MI to an early lead with the ball in the 13th edition finals.

Rahul Tewatia, an all-arounder and powerful finisher, was selected by the Gujarat Titans for INR 9 crore in the IPL 2022 Mega Auction. All three teams—RCB, CSK, and GT—were competing for the all-rounder, but only Gujarat Titans could purchase him for $9 crore. Before the 2020 IPL season, Rahul Tewatia was moved from the Delhi Capitals to the Rajasthan Royals. And Tewatia, who had made his IPL debut with RR in 2014, ignited the stage for RR in what was a homecoming for him.
The left-handed batsman made 255 runs, including a historic 31-ball 53-run outburst in which he struck five sixes in one over and took 10 wickets. He also made his first call-up to the Indian side after that performance. In the IPL 2022, the all-rounder will want to assert himself again.

Mohammad Shami, one of the top Indian seam spinners on the market, was purchased by Gujarat Titans for INR 6.25 crore during the IPL 2022 Mega Auction. Mohammed Shami revitalized his limited-overs career with some outstanding displays in Indian colors recently. Punjab Kings purchased him at the 2019 Player Auction for a substantial price tag of INR 4.8 crore. Shami was leading the speed assault for PBKS. He can be successful both early in the sessions and during the final few overs.
Shami has made significant development and is now a complete bowler, so batters must be cautious when facing him. He ended the year with 19 wickets from 14 games as KXIP’s top wicket-taker. Mohammad had a strong year. His bowling improved even more in the 2020 season when he saved six runs in a super-over for PBKS during the 13th edition and hit early with the new ball. Shami will wear the Gujarat Titans uniform this season, and his familiarity with the new ball will be crucial.

Rashid Khan, arguably the greatest leg-spinner in white ball cricket, was selected for the Gujarat Titans team before the IPL 2022 Mega Auction for INR 15 crore. Rashid Khan, an Afghan footballer, is the epitome of a narrative about how dedication and hard effort can bring about well-deserved success. He was raised in a war-torn Afghanistan and ascended through the ranks thanks to his outstanding achievements, first in higher levels of tennis, ball cricket, and then in the sport as a whole.
Rashid has drawn attention due to his prowess with the ball ever since his 2017 IPL maiden season. The leg-spinner contributed several notable match-winning performances in SRH’s run to the 2018 championship game championships. He finished that season as the second-highest wicket scorer with 21 wickets. One of the most sought-after people today has been his player in franchise T20 competitions over the years, and with his extensive expertise, he poses a real danger to the opposition.
